Greg Kogut

Born on November 19, 1975, in Rzeszów, Poland, Greg has been fascinated by motorcycles from an early age. As a kid, he would climb onto his uncles’ motorcycles, checking how much longer his legs needed to grow before his feet could finally reach the ground. Once they did, he bought his first moped, then his first motorcycle, and childhood dreams slowly began turning into reality. It started with trips through Poland’s Bieszczady Mountains, followed by journeys farther and farther from home. But the real long-distance adventures began after he moved to the United States. First came motorcycle rallies in Daytona, Laconia, and Sturgis. Then came journeys across continents. His motorcycle adventure continues to this day.

MotoKogut’s Travel Chronicles

Mongolian Vibes

I’ve always dreamed of landing on some distant planet one day, experiencing what life is like there, and trying to communicate with the aliens… And I have to admit, my journey through Mongolia fulfilled that dream to some extent. Endless grassy steppes, vast open spaces, crisp mountain air, and a sky of deep cobalt blue, sometimes tinted pink by the setting sun. What more could you possibly need to be happy? Just emptiness and silence, occasionally broken by horses or camels grazing here and there, or by a local motorcycle sputtering along one of the countless dirt tracks.

Riding across Mongolia’s mostly unpaved roads, I often wondered whether the next village of yurts and mud-brick houses would treat my bike to some fuel and me to a little something more than just a bowl of mutton stew. On rare moments of downtime, hiding from the scorching sun in the shadow of my own motorcycle, I survived on a few humble snacks in place of proper meals—while savoring every moment of a real adventure.

In those few simple words lies the true essence of Mongolian vibes.
